Radiator Fan

In general, I ride with the temperature reading showing on my Polaris display and noticed on both my 570’s (2014 and 2015) the temperature stays relatively consistent at 167-172 F and rarely the fan turns on. On the other hand, my former 800 the fan turned on frequently and approached the 200-210F often, so unsure if that is “normal” or not. Regardless of machine (570 or 800), I’m basing these observations on relatively similar conditions, i.e., driving style, terrain, etc. Question, are other 570 owners seeing similar temperatures?

I have a 14 ranger 800 fullsize and my temp stays between 190 and 208 with the fan cycling constantly... from what I understand this is normal for the 800s.. I wish mine would stay under 172!! I'm assuming it's the engine being under the bed and not the seat?
Yeap, the 800's were tuned leaner and run hotter. I have a strong feeling this is why that engine "went away".
My understanding is the 800 went away because of emissions. Too long a stroke will do it.

It is rare my fan kicks on and like you, my 800 constantly kicked on/off the fan. In fact, I remember commenting to a friend, I hope the fan doesn't go out too far from the truck or we are going to spend a long time getting back.
I put a switch on my 800 due to going through water all the time and ruining 2 fans, but it would run from 195 to 205, now when not going through water i just leave it on and it stays at about 175 180, not sure how this will effect the life of the fan but no issue so far.

My '15 570 runs around 170-180 most of the time. Have to really work it hard to get to the 200 mark and kick the fan on. Usually after more difficult terrain and at slow speeds. As long as I'm buzzing down the trail the temp stays down.
