Hello friends,
I know that many folks will have this question, even though these machines will spend very little of their lives at top speed. In the southwest it's more common to spend time on open dirt/paved roads at higher speeds. Mine will hit the governor at 56 mph.

This post sounds like spam. My 22 Ranger XP1K Crew Ultimate reached 61 mph. I slowed it down to cruising speed, though, cut I didn't care to push it any further. Didn't feel any governor kick in.
Not spam, he posts videos often. Notice that his is the SOHC non XP where yours is DOHC XP with higher HP numbers.

Man, I'd be nervous running around like that competing with 4000 lb cars that decide to pull out in front of me. I guess I'm getting old.

SPAM here. It’s my understanding that the XP1000’s (DOHC engine) have a higher top speed. My machine (Ranger 1000 SOHC) is definitely governed at 56/57mph. You can hear/feel the engine back off.

Governed yes, with a rev limiter. Looks like RPMs cut out at 6400 from what your dash is showing. There are tuner options that increase that limit.
Windshields and bigger tires all have an affect on top speed.

Nice video by the way

Thanks! And yes, prior to windshield, and with stock light weight wheels and tires it raced that governed speed more quickly.

55 is top on a 1000 sohc. The dohc is designed to be a little faster but less pulling torque.
my 2021 1000 sohc is also limited to 57 mph,but reachs that speed quick on stock wheels and tires,,, fast enough for me.
21 XP1K Crew, added lock and ride windshield and half doors. On the road I get 63 - 64 on the stock tires. I will have some 29's on them soon so maybe 68 or 69. The taller tire will fool the speedo but ride command should show the true speed.

So, with a taller tire you are probably getting more MPH than your speedo shows . . . of course, the speedo could be lying in the first place too. Radar or GPS will reveal the truth.
I have 2019 Northstar and as soon as it was out of warranty went with Gilman tune. World of difference. Now keeps pulling all the way to over 70. I put the couch kit to with the spring for the lower rpm. It runs up around 7000 maybe little over but not against limiter at 6000. And it didn't seem to change fuel milage any. We ride mostly Forest Circus roads here in western Montana. And get out on highway for short stretches to make a loop.

Sounds like a great way to go. I got the two year warranty when I bought, so I need to wait another year . . .
I apologize if my previous response seemed like spam. Based on your experience with your 2022 Ranger XP1K Crew Ultimate, you were able to reach a top speed of 61 mph. It's great to hear that you didn't encounter any issues or governor restrictions during your ride. It's always important to prioritize safety and ride within your comfort zone. Remember to follow the manufacturer's guidelines and local regulations while enjoying your off-roading adventures. If you have any more questions or need further assistance, feel free to ask.
