Decided to install a "system" on my ranger. The goal was to get this completed on a budget. So I purchased some inexpensive 6.5" wakeboard tower speakers off amazon (65 dollars), I went with a JBL gauge mount marine Bluetooth head unit (130 dollars), and a Pyle hydra marine amp (45 dollars).

The head unit worked out of the box for my pre install test..but when I finished mounting it etc it was dead. Honestly I would of put my money on the amp dying first. Anyways onto the pictures. I have yet to mount the amp so more pictures to follow.

.. Looks good so far. How well do the speakers play over the engine noise at high speeds??

Cranked up all the way its adequate.. If you like really loud music etc this setup won't be for you.

90% of the time i listen to music is with the engine off while I'm doing chores or working around the property. Also summer time Bon fires or weekends hanging out with friends enjoying a few brewskis.

This would work out great then. It was my intention too to use this while doing yard work or park it next to the bon fire lol. It does have enough volume to be heard with the engine wound up too..but it won't over power it if that makes sense.
