My Ranger was manufactured 7/23/03. Is it considered an 03 or an 04? Thanks.

Probably an O3 the 04's were diffeernt slightly though your either a Series 11 or 2004 you can look at the differences by going through differnet part schematics try this site out

my guess with that date it's an '04[?]
Check you VIN # The 10th digit from the left is the year. It wiil be a 3 or 4
Not to correct Frosty but, my experience is that the 10th digit is the year. I know for positive that is how it works on vehicles from 2000 & up & it has always worked for other toys up to this point.
That is what I ment 10th digit . Had something else on my mind at the same time. I guess. I know the 10th is correct on current models in stock.
Stop bickering. Any vehicle that has a 17 digit VIN is model year identifiable by the 10th digit since 1980 as follows
The letters I, O, Q, U, and Z are not used because they can be easily confused with a number or another letter.

A – 1980

B – 1981

C – 1982

D – 1983

E – 1984

F – 1985

G – 1986

H – 1987

I – not used

J – 1988

K – 1989

L – 1990

M – 1991

N – 1992

O – not used

P – 1993

Q – not used

R – 1994

S – 1995

T – 1996

U – not used

V – 1997

W – 1998

X – 1999

Y – 2000

Z – not used

Beginning with 2001, numbers are used to designate the model year.

1 – 2001

2 – 2002

3 – 2003

4 – 2004

5 – 2005

6 – 2006

7 – 2007
