I am looking at picking up a well used 2013 Ranger 6x6. The all-wheal drive switch appears to have a true 6x6, 4x6, and a turf mode. When I looked up the specks on Polaris’s website it appeared to me that only the mid differential was able to unlock/lock. My question is do both rear axles on the 6x6 unlock when in the turf mode to help eliminate tire scrub and improve turning or just the center axle? I like the idea of an open diff around the yard with having the ability to lock everything up if needed.

I stopped by the dealer today. They weren’t open but the 6x6 was sitting out so I took a closer look. It looks to me like the mid axle stays locked all the time and the rear axle had a dif lock on it. I snapped a couple of pictures. Let me know what you think.

I was fairly certain that only the rear axle unlocks, and the pic's confirm that. There's no provision to unlock the mid axles.
