Does anyone have, or have a link to a site that will give cross references to polaris drive belts? I've got a couple on my shelf, one I know what it is, and the other I'm not sure. I'll get some numbers tomorrow.

It seems hard to find specs on the polaris belts (length width) for whatever reason, and it makes it tough to cross reference! Anyone have some leads ?

I can't help with the cross reference, but if you have part numbers, that can be typed in the search engine of Polaris Parts House and it will tell you which machine(s) it will fit.

Unfortunately Polaris is not forthcoming with belt spec's, plus they are hard to measure. I saw a cross reference chart from Gates at one time, but I cannot find it now. I should have saved it when I found it the first time. :frown:

ok-

On my EBS machines currently I'm running a 3211136.

Yesterday I went in and asked for a drive belt for a 2012 HD w EBS, and they gave me a 3211162 belt ( I forgot the old number so they had to look it up)

My question is, is the 11162 belt a replacement for the 11136? or did they give me a replacement for the 11133 (non ebs belt)?

I'm confused.

I'd give up and just buy a dayco, but their site/belt lookup is just as outdated and I wouldn't know if what I'm buying fits because polaris doesn't put size information on their stuff.

According to Polaris Parts House........

Belt 3211136 fits 2012 RANGER XP 800 (R12TH76/TH7E/TX7E) . That is the only machine listed, which is sort of odd because usually it would have several uses.

Belt 3211162 is the replacement for 118 and 133 belts, PLUS the following machines...........

After looking on cheapcycleparts.com for a '12 800 belt, belt # 162 says it fits all except "EAN". Belt # 136 says it is for "EAN". The driven (secondary) clutch shows separate parts numbers for machines with and without EAN. So I assume that "EAN" is actually EBS???

I believe you are correct Jerry. EAN I think is EBS

So actually the 162 and 133 belts that I have will be too loose to fit or work well with EBS?

Didn't EBS come on more than just the 2012 model?

I'm not sure about the fitment question. If you have both belts, I would compare them and take measurements. My guess is there is a reason for the different part number.

I thought that Polaris offered EBS on more than the '12 model, but am not positive about that.

I contaced carlisle. They told me that the AU456 (replacement for the 132 polaris belt) is 1.25 inches wide, and 40.75 inches outside circumference . I don't see anything that dayco or that polaris makes that is that size.

I was almost certain that polaris offered EBS in earlier and later rangers. you'd think they all would use the same belt for those models and it would be easy to find!

I looked all these up, nothing special about a EBS belt on a ranger it is not notched or whatever you call it on the bottom like the older ATV's were

The belt you got the 162 is the right belt

If you want to run a Gates we have it as well, we run it on all 800 of all types, RZR Ranger EBS non ebs, it is the same dimension as that 162 which is just a compound change over the 33 I think it is either way the 800 belt we have works great on your machine

Click link below, there is a fitment article there as well.

Thanks for doing some looking Todd.

I called another dealer yesterday that has a very knowledgeable parts guy I've used in the past

He went through this with me and said that the only model that used the 136 belt was the 2012 HD. However, he said that the browning models that came factory with EBS like the HD also come with 3211136 belt.

He said the 162 belt replaces the 133 belt, which was designed for every machine EXCEPT those that run EBS. To have good braking operation especially with the one way primary bearing, he said you need the smaller 136 belt.

However he said they don't sell that many because few people have EBS machines, and even fewer even know that they have them, so they end up with the wrong belt much of the time.

It seems that Carlisle makes a replacement belt for the 3211136, but Dayco does not. Haven't checked Gates site yet. I don't think I could put anything that says Carlisle on my machine without fear.lol

Thanks all for your time helping look up all this!

Amen to that! There's not many companies that I will bash, but they are an exception. I've never owned anything with the Carlisle name that wasn't complete junk. Unfortunately, the fact that they are so cheap makes them a desirable OEM tire for many manufacturers, so I have owned several sets of Carlisle tires over the years.......and all were crappy.

Jerry- I have a 30ft gooseneck tandem dualed trailer that I bought last fall. it's got 8 carlisle tires on it from factory with 2 year factory warranty. They have replaced under warranty in 6 months 5 out of 8 tires. I have only put maybe 2000 miles on the trailer so far! The lady there was very good about replacing them, and told me the new tires they sent also had 2 years of warranty!... so, they'll be replacing tires until I'm tired of changing them as far as I can see! China must have cut them one heck of a deal!

We build about 6,000 trailers per year. Most are tandems, with a few singles and the occasional tri-axle.....so we use a lot of tires. We have tested Carlisle tires numerous times over the years and they have always come in near the bottom.....even against offerings of other "no name" companies. Their latest radial that was introduced about 3 years ago has tested better than anything they have offered to date, but I'd still only give it a 6 or 6.5 on a scale of 10. I try to keep an open mind and "never say never", but I really don't foresee Carlisle tires ever being standard equipment on Boatmate trailers.

I had one of their tires explode on my travel trailer in northern Ontario last summer during a trip. 6 years old & moderate use. I replaced the rest of them when I got home w/ Goodyears. I wish I had taken a picture of it. The tread was OK on 7/8s of the circumference (no cracks or visible wear). The other eighth had no rubber & the steel belting was splayed outward. The tire pressure of the other 3 tires was fine.

The year before was when I replaced the Carlisles on my Ranger due to the tread cap starting to peel.
