What brand? I'm assuming you are talking about putting the tracks from a 800 on a 900.... Anti-rotation brackets are very likely different, sprockets may be as well (different engine / different gearing, at least with Camoplast / Tatou...)
My guess is that the anti-rotation and possibly the driver wheels will be different. I put a set originally designed for a Bobcat UTV on my 900. I contacted Camoplast and they were able to set me up with a transfer kit for a little over $600. I had to change drivers, hubs, and anti-rotation It may not be as much $$$ for you since the differences between the two machines isn't as much, but I would definitely contact the manufacturer.
thanks for sharing your wisdom sounds like i would just be better off getting the right ones fit for the machine

Well that really depends on what kind of deal you can get on the used set of tracks that you know of. The ones I bought were practically new and picked them up for $2200. After the transfer kit, I'm into them about $2900 plus my time. A lot better than the nearly $5k for a brand new set.

have a set of mint tracks off of a 2010 polaris ranger 800.They are tatou utv made by camoplast they come with all mounting brackets and hub adapters. The reason for the sale was a up grade to a 2015 ranger 900. These tracks were not run on dirt only snow around personal land 2600 obo

I think the bobcat is an 800 polaris ranger with a different hood and gearing.
Bobcat used to be Kioti Mechron... not sure if they changed or not.
