2273 Views 2 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Littlevalley
I rerouted the breather for gas tank up high behind the seat and now it pi**es gas out when trail riding. Why?
Think I remember talk that it has to be below tank like factory position. Why?
I have put it back to original until I figure it out.
Thanks

I routed mine that way also but haven't noticed it pushing fuel out, I'll have to go back and watch this to see, thanks for the heads up. I can't understand why it would push fuel out unless a lot of splash under rough conditions and the pressure pushing it out, I'll keep a watch out for it though. I also thought someone said the short tube was in case it turned over, it wouldn't let fuel spill out, don't understand why that would stop it without some sort of check valve.
When I turned my ranger over, fuel leaked out of the vent line onto the hot exhaust pipe. I was able to pull the vent hose loose and prop it up above the tank so the fuel stopped leaking. That then gave me plenty of time to figure out how to get 'er back up.
