reverse light wires

it sounds like a bunch of you guys are using these wires to connect lights ,,,I do realize that its a constant on positive,and the ground breaks ror reverse switch ,,,when I plug my leds into these wires it worked great at first but when I took it out of reverse ,my light was still on like a glow,???? very strange ,,I put my meter on ithe possative side and was still getting 9.2 volts for about 6 minutes then goes out....am I doing something wrong??

This is a good example of how to wire in a relay I had the same problem until I installed the relay

For some reason, some LED's still get enough power to light up even when not in reverse. Need to install a relay so it kills the power completely to the lights when shifting into park.
