I got all new extended rhino axles with my outkast lift. The boots seem really cheap and hard on them. The dealership actually had me sign a paper on the joints and boots stating that I was aware that they had to be broke in and not run at fast speeds or they will get hot and split. I don't run fast ever and I know they are under warranty for a year but its just the aggravation of having to send them back for jus a torn or cracked boot. Anyone have any suggestions or things I can do to possibly help the boots before anything happens. They feel more like plastin than rubber to me. I May not ever have a problem but I want to take every precation possible. Thanks in advance for the input!!

From experience swap them out now for better boots like gorillas will save you a lot of head aches . Spend the money now wish I did before I put mine on.

I use to have problems with pinholes on my rhino boots. But now my front rhinos (I have Cobras in the rear) have been 18 months without issue.

Also know that boots are not covered under warranty on rhinos. I use quick boots for replacement and only takes me 5 minutes to change a boot. 15 minutes to pull an axle!

Been researching axles until my eyes bleed lately. Seems like as far as boots go, Highlifter's DHT Outlaw CV boot is the best out there. NOT SAYING its the best axle, just boot material/design. Rhino's biggest complains seems to be the CV boot quality.

Just noticed this thread, but I just tore both of my rear inners last Saturday. Ordered gorillas and got them today, gonna put them n this week and give them a go, if that don't work, going to figure out what car ones are the same and use those. 30 bucks a piece for gorilla boots I thought was a little excessive, but maybe they'll work, we'll see

I think rhino did indeed update their boots a while back, BUT they still seem cheaper compared to others. I wouldn't worry about it lots of rhino axles out there with NO issues.
