I haven't seen any like that before. Have you emailed the pics to STI? I've been told that their customer service is very good.

It appears that some of the cords have broken. The cords provide the structure/framework for the tire.
It also appears that you are having some lug separation on that tire, where the bulging area is.

I would definitely contact the Manufacturer.

I did email STI today waiting on reply.

A set of Carlisle tires I bought did that after a year, they replaced them and covered all costs. All they needed was a picture with the date code on the sidewall.

I wouldn't let that one incident undermine your confidence in those tires. A LOT of people are running Roctanes (including myself and several that I ride with) and this is the first time I've seen this issue.

I meant any of the tires on my machine now may just be a bad batch I got.

Well got an email from STI saying send them pictures of dot numbers and the bad place in tire and they will replace and ship to me for free. And that they had a quality control issue on some tires I hope all my Dot numbers qualify for the free replacement.

Kinda reminds me of the problems I was having (and am still having) with the Sedona rip saw tires. Every set of rears I got would develop a large gash in the sidewall in one tire, and eventually both. over time they'd eventually blow completely out. Sedona has warrantied out 3 pairs for me. and the warrantied pairs have done the same exact thing. What can a guy do but change brands? Sometimes Chinese tires just aren't worth the savings.

I haven't bought an american made tire in years for our rangers.

The thing is, you can buy 8 chinese tires in most cases for the price of 4 american made tires.

I run an 18 wheeler rock hauler I can only afford China tires! They are $250-300 the name brand are $500-600 a piece.

And how much do the Pitbull tires cost for a 26.5 inch tire? Those look like really great tires, but way to expensive.

Too expensive compared to what? They are expensive no doubt, but having had them, I'd say they were worth the money. I had Swamplites too and wouldn't run them if they were $50 a tire. You get what you pay for.

You can buy almost 3 Chinese tires for the price if one pit bull tire. Are the pit bulls 3x better? I don't think so. I won't pay more for ATV tires then I will for my truck. Pit bulls are overpriced.
