Today I picked up a new 900 rzr S for a customer and after reading the other thread, decided to put the ecu into my ranger.

Couple problems,

First off, it has AWESOME throttle response, but only goes 15 MPH.

It is throwing two codes.

520208-5

96-5

Anyone have any idea what's going on? I really wanna do this!!!

More info on engine and years would help. 2015 M/Y are closed loop so a 2014 and earlier are open loop and wont work.

the 15 mph is due to the seatbelt restriction on 15 models - you cant go above 15 unless the seatbelt is plugged in

Yes, all the new 2015 Ranger and RZR vehicles need to have the driver side seatbelt fastened to exceed 15mph. On my Ranger, the seatbelt limiter can be bypassed by simply cutting the two wires and connecting them both via a butt connection, solder, etc. I have no idea of the specifics of the wiring.

I wonder if a RZR 900 ECU would net my 2015 Ranger the additional 7hp to be like the 75hp RZR? That's be fun for slinging mud...
