After we got the unit home yesterday, I took it for short rides about 4 or 5 times. There are two observations I've noticed that may or may not become issues down the road. I'm posting these here rather than on 'the other side' because I don't want to sound like I'm being negative about this product right out of the gate.
First, it does get a little warm in the cab when the radiator fan gets in. It was unseasonably warm here yesterday (low 80s) and the fan was running I'd say about 40% of the time. Although its nothing as dramatic as the standard Ranger, AND things are fairly well blocked off up front, some heat does sneak through. I want to be clear here, however: Its NOT as noticeable as the standard Ranger.
Second, transmission shifting. For the most part, it is very smooth and the gear indicator on the instrument cluster is nice, but it doesn't consistantly illuminate the 'P' for 'park' everytime I stopped to park the unit. Sometimes I have to move the shifter slowly through the gears to make the 'P' illuminate when I put the unit into 'park.' I have a hunch this might be more of a linkage adjustment issue than anything else as it does seem to be in 'park' even though the instument cluster doesn't indictate as such.
