Jagged X is an aftermarket development partner with Polaris. The marketing folks at Polaris are tageting the southwest sport rider with this vehicle so with us being right here in Phoenix and avid dune riders they asked us if we could help and of course we were happy to.

You guys really deserve kudos in my book; as we asked for the postcards from Glamis and you came through.

A couple questions if you don't mind:

Bone stock? (no filter, tire or exhaust mods?)

How did the filters look at the end of the day and did you get much blowback in the cockpit as we do with our Rhinos? (I meant to ask you this when you were in the desert dust and forgot).

Again, many thanks and and definitely a first look at your place for my accessories.

Lots of Questions! that's great. The Units we ran at Glamis were completely stock. We did try a couple of tire combos, the stock tires are maxis 25" (same as a Rhino) they work well, we did air down to 4.5-5 lbs. We also tried a Polaris aftermarket 14" package that did work better than stock they are Goodyear MTR 26" (same as a Prowler) We ran them at about 7 lbs
( a little hard IMHO ) We tried a set of Dune star Paddles on Motosport Alloys for a little while, this would be my personal choice for duning. The RZR actually has enough power to pull a paddle in the dunes As where with most Rhinos the paddle are more for looks. I plan on trying running paddle in the rear and maybe some razor or less aggresive tires in the front. We will keep you up to date on what works best. As for filter. it was not super dusty while we wer there but the filters stayed fairly clean. We did put K & N filters on 2 of the units, (no notable difference in performance) the stock filter has a pre charger on it. We ran 250 miles on each one of the units which is more than most folks will dune in a year.So to me it seems that the filtration system is adequate. Again, My personal choice would be to run a K & N with a pre charger and to clean it every trip. As for blowback I assume you are reffering to dust accumulating in the cab area? I did not notice any huge accululation of dust in the floorboard areas at all.( in the desert or the dunes) Now if you put a windshield on the vehicle I'm sure that you will notice more of that. the windsheild creates a sort of a vortex or vacume affect on all the open cockpit vehicles we have seen. And Lastly Yea it goes up Olds! on the right side, on the left side, right up the middle where ever you want. It also goes up Freeway (Test), Patton, Comp, and about 20 ft from the top of China wall. (I think we can get up there too if you commit) you can cruise on the big sand between 45-50 mph with ease. And we got top speeds of 53-55 on the sand highway by Gecko.

Any other questions, feel free to ask. we want everyone to be in the know when these things hit the dealers. If you stay tunned I assure you you will know more about these things than the dealer will.

We did check the oil on all the units daily and had to no oil on any of them. In all of our testing we had no mechanical issues at all.
We did have a slight mis adjustment of the shifting linkage but polaris engineers were already aware of it and have taken care of it for final production units. As for diognostics, the RZR has the same cluster found on newer Rangers which have an auto check sestem that display a code if anything is out of spec. We never had a ny heating issues and the temps were in the mid To high 80's at the dunes

We were out at Glamis the same week. We saw the 4 RZR's tearin it up on several occasions and they looked pretty damn impressive! We got there Tuesday night and the sand was incredible! virgin sand for days!!! [8D] Must have been a serious blast on the RZR's. Same time next year I'll find out for myself and yes please do post the hot dune setup!
