SMV Triangle on Ranger

Are any of you guys using a SMV triangle on your Rangers? I just got my Ranger. I live out in the rural area and have a ranch with hay fields. Its one of the motivators for buying the Ranger. Makes it easy to go up to the hay fields and work then leave the tractor to go get some lunch. There are times when I need to run down the road to go get a shear pin or something else at the store. I would like to be able to just use the ranger instead of running back to the house to get my truck. If any of you do something similar, do you get hassled or pulled over by the cops?

I do sometimes. My guess is it will vary state to state. I just ride country roads close to home and have never been bothered. My next step is to wade into the gray area and get mine street legal. No easy way in my state because the law does not really address these machines so I will take the kit car route.

I actually have a game warden stopping by next week, I'm gonna ask him about state law here. I believe here you can go "In a moderate reasonable manner on the side of the highway from one trail to another trail". But I am going to ask. And there is a mileage limit like so many yards or feet from trail to trail. I live outside of town a little on a side road in the woods. Its about 1 3/4 miles to the local variety where they have gas also. Its a lot easier to just pull up and pump. I'm never been lucky enough to see the sheriff that's generally parked at the store getting his dounts....
