wondering if anybody has made a snorkle from the inside coming up behind the seat yet?
LOL yep it ain't pretty but functional. I work on farms with mine and was having to change or blow out the air filter every few days because of the dust being drawn it from the side. (Poor Polaris design). After the snorkel, I would have about a tsp of dirt on the filter every 2 weeks. I have $60 in it and I can move it in about 10 mins to my future ones since I trade every year. Just bought a 2015 that it's going on...That's almost an eye sore, lol.
That's it and the flexible elbows came from Lowes. I didn't have to, but I did trim straight across above the handle on the bed release to make it easier to open and close the bed. The red hose is the crank case vent.Looks like 2" pump suction hose!!!!
Hose is 2" x 8' long that I got at a Case IH dealership, most farm supply stores should have it. Make sure the hose is non collapsible. Fittings were from Lowes and with an ID of 2", might have been a little over 2" can't rememberWhere did u get the pump hose and what size is it and what size are the flexible fittings
What is retarded to me is the poor design of the fresh air intake on these new models. At $37 a pop on air filters every week during a growing season (20 filters if I hadn't snorkled), I'll look retarded. We haven't done that yet cause it looks retarded, just like a jeep with that snorkel. It just don't fit and isn't asthetically pleasing to the eye
