Has anyone made there on snorkel kit I've looked for videos but haven't seen any I got 2014 ranger 800efi and want to do snorkel kit with out dropping 190 bucks can u guys help
Nothing to it.. some have used the flex hose so you don't have to cut anything. Some use pvc and only have to cut the trim piece on the bed.. I have mine moved up about 6" higher than stock with the air intake and the belt exhaust comes out behind the drivers seat an in front of the bed.. a "stealth" snorkel I found on the forums..

I have under $60 in mine (900xp) and ended up returning a few extra pieces. I had an afternoon in doing it, which I'm guessing a buying a kit has got to cut down on the install time. Not sure on 800, but the cool thing on the 900 is both intakes and the belt exhaust is common hardware store size plumbing.

It'd cost $50ish maybe, but I had most of that stuff laying around from other bikes I've snorkeled. You can get all that stuff from HomeDepot, save your receipts and take back what you don't use.

Snorkel right from the airbox. And seal up your airbox, I had mine leak at the factory seal.

All the pics I have are in that video. I'd take more but my bed is bolted down due to my rear cage.

I sealed my airbox with silicone. I did not put screens on mine. In my experience, those screens get clogged up and block airflow.

Don't know for sure on this one, but I did that on my Rhino and it was so annoyingly loud I put the air box back on it. You wouldn't think so, but the intake is louder than the exhaust. At least on the Rhino, there was something to that intake that quieted it down a bunch. Try it, just don't cut up anything to the point you can't put it back on.
