Happy owner of a 2012 800 HD with Camoplast tracks. Had it out for the first time over the weekend playing in the deep snow and found it a little disturbing the amount of snow that gets packed into the engine / transmission area - which then melts and freezes into ice. One morning the snow had iced in the shifter lever and the thing would not move into reverse gear - linkage was blocked by ice!

My question is... Do they sell or has anyone successfully made snow shields for use with tracks that control the snow from getting packed into the engine bay?

Took me a while to thaw her out in a heated garage...

I've also heard of issues with snow getting in the intake for the engine and mostly the clutches. You run in to this? You may need to fab up some of your own shields, I'm surprised the engine heat doesn't melt it.
