I stopped in @ Sloan's in Murfreesboro on Sat' & had a look around. I didn't buy anything, but was impressed by their selection of tires. Besides having a set of ITP Bajacross tires on display, I saw some Sedona Ripsaws & Maxxis Coronados. I hadn't seen them in person before. Most dealers up here seem to carry just Mud- & Swamp-Lites. I don't know how these tires stand up, but they looked like decent tires if you were looking for an "all terrain" tire.

I almost bought a set of Coronados but I couldn't find any reviews and very few real pictures, so I went with Cerros. I think they are meant to be a desert tire, but I bet they would do well for the type of driving I do in the woods and mountains.

I just picked up a set of Discount Tires Rage Storms replacing my Big Horns that were worn out. For the desert and hard top trails I think they will perform very well plus they are 8 ply. I have tried them in Sand, they work well and over rocky terrain they did very well. My local Discount Tire Guys said a lot of RZR 900 & 1000 folks are buying them. It will be interesting to see what kind of service life I get. I was happy with the Big Horns, but they gone up in price plus I just wanted to try some thing different.

I have a couple comments on the Sedona Ripsaw-

First, they have great traction, and a long service life due to the deep lugs. Second, I've had almost ZERO punctures. the tires are tough in that aspect.

now for the negative-

They don't ride very well, especially for a radial.

They run a bit on the small side, especially when they get worn down some.

on every set I've had, the rear tires at some point develop a tear in the sidewall, which over time results in a blow out. It happens on EVERY 26/11 r12 I've gotten from them if given enough time. Sedona has warrantied these tires, and the ones that were warranteed started doing the same thing. The last set I've gotten has gone a year with no tears yet. only difference I can see is that I'm running 12 psi in that ranger instead of 9..

Love the tires, but my back is already bad enough from riding in a ranger, and I don't need to compound the roughride with stiff tires.

I've got a set of EFX Moto Claws. (26 inch bias) I'm in love with this tire. Had them on about a year, they bite good, they clean out good, they ride GREAT They remind me alot of the GBC dirt tamers which is also a bias ply, and another one of the better tires I've ever run.. I'm convinced that bias ply tires are way better for off road use or even some on road use than radials. in every department.

Adam, so far I can't tell much difference in the ride with Rage Storms on over the Big Horns I had. They were 6 ply vrs 8 on the Storms. About the same I would say, but less noise on the hard top. More rubber contact on the ground the Storms should last a lot longer for me.
