Toying with the idea of a Spray-In Bedliner for my XP900 Ranger. Has anyone done this? Pros? Cons?

Thought about it--still on the fence. If it's sprayed, it's going add some weight. Also thought about using a can of the 'Do it Yourself' stuff and doing the bottom of the bed but only going up 2 or 3 inches on the sides and maybe the whole tailgate. ??? Meanwhile, the rubber mat I have on the bottom is working fine.

It would add some weight, but at the same time, I would think that it would deaden the sound a bit too.....??? And would look killer....

I thought about doing it but The one thing I liked about the 2015 bed was the tie downs and I didn't want to lose them

The only downside I see is stuff wouldn't slide out very well when dumping.

I'm looking at Line-X, which is what I have in my GMC truck. It is not as thick as the others and has minimal texture, so I don't think dumping would be a problem and I should still be able to use the tie-downs. I need to check with the installer to see if there would be any adhesion problems. I really think it would look good and prevent scratches in the bed. Thanks for the comments and ideas, keep them coming!

Line-up is a two part system so it will adhere to plastic. Make sure the bed is clean power wash it first. If you are
doing it yourself put some oil or grease on the bolts so after you can wipe them off after. I am going to spray
mine when I get home in April.

Dont bet on it. I tried just about everything on the plastic the dash is made out of looking for something that would bond to it and didn't find anything.
Including some 2 part plastic adhesives.
I suspect they are made out of polyethylene based plastics and thus cannot really be glued like other types of plastic. I would also think that would affect the ability of coatings to stick to it.

I would test an are first and see if it adheres to the plastic. I have been painting cars for 15yrs and to paint some oem raw plastic bumpers it must first be washed with warm water then scuffed with grey scuff pad then wiped down with raw bumper prep solution the. Prior to painting a plastic adhesion promoter needs to be applied, then sealed, color them clear coat... But if it's prepped good and the cleaner is applied (gets the mold release agents out of the plastics) and spray the adhesion promoter prior to bed liner I think you'll be ok but def do a small area test panel and let it cure for a few days and hit it with a power washer if it stays on you should be ok. Any automotive paint jobber should be able to point you in the right direction for the necessary products.
