I have a 2014 xp 900 with 75 hours on it and the squeeking is driving me nuts! I know this is a common problem and I've read several threads on this issue here. I thought I had it beat when I read about adding zerks to the rear bushings. That was the best mod ever until I went through the mud and power washed it. It's not like I'm running submerged in mud, it's just a couple of low spots on the ranch that I have to drive through every time I ride when it's wet. It seems like every time I take it to the power wash I have to re grease the bushings. Is this common? Should I be greasing after every ride through mud. I would appreciate some recommendations on what grease to use. I'm also thinking about adding super daves bushings. Will this help with how often I have to grease the bushings? Thanks for all the great info and help on this site. It's made this newbs life much easier!

Have you isolated the squeak? My guess is that it's coming from somewhere that doesn't have a zerk fitting........like the shock bushings on my RZR. I have to give them a shot of WD-40 before every ride or I have the same squeaking problem.

It's the back end for sure. I'll try that next Jerry. I forgot about that and the sway bar zerks as well. What type of grease do you use?

Larry, I bolted my bed box down as well and it took out most of mine as well. It makes finding the other ones that much easier. I have a suspicion that its going to be the shocks or the sway bar.

For grease, I use Mystik JT-6 (similar to Lucas' Red 'N' Tacky). For things that don't have a zerk like my shock bushings, I just spray them with WD40. Something like silicone or white lithium would probably be better, but you get less mess (less dirt sticking to the application area) with plain old WD.

Use a good marine grade grease and it will help keep it from washing out with the mud and water. But more than likely, you will need to re-grease after each ride in the mud, it's just the nature of the beast. Mine has been squeaking since the first ride... you just get used to it, or turn the radio up... LOL

Thanks' guys, I am using a marine grade grease now, but not sure which one. I luv WD40, I need to order it by the gallon. I always keep a can in center console and a couple more in the trailer box. I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a set of Super Daves Bushings. That should take care of the majority of them, so now it will be the shock bushings and sway bar, so I guess I need to research a sound bar, with a sub to drown out the squeeks!

Not sure about the 900's, but my 700's source was the bed latch- actually both of them.
I wrapped the post they latch onto with duct tape and reapply when the latch finally wears through.

Metal to metal connection, makes for the perfect speak.
A squirt of lube will tell you if this is the source, but it won't last long.

Not sure if this is where I should put this. If not let me know and I will move it.

When I added grease zerks to my A-Arms I searched on Amazon and came across "Greenlee combination drill and tap set" for $38.60, they even sell the M6 x 1.00 as a single for $6.54. This made this mod really easy. I also used the drill and tap combo for all those holes I had to drill and tap to add my full skid plate. Thanks again for all the great info on this site, I'm really enjoying my 900 even when it squeaks! I'll check out the shock bushings and the sway bar and let you know if that was the culprit.

I got to run my Ranger today after using WD 40 on the shock bushings and sway bar. No more squeaks. Thanks Jerry.

I didn't mention it but I'm going to have to make a run to O'Reilly's and get a small flexible grease head because the one I had wouldn't fit because of the shocks. Either that or replace the zerks with 90 degree ones.

Did you add zerks to the rear bushings? I know 100% that's where my squeek comes from and I just tear it down after I ride to lube it. Want to add zerks but only if they work. Thx.

Well worth it and not hard to do. Several threads on here about addding zerks. My squeeks were comming from the shock bushings.
