STOP The Delivery Of The RZR!!

That was the response i got as i signed the last form for my RZR today, they told me i couldn't take it home. At first i thought they were just messing with me but as i sat there signing my paperwork my dealer was on the phone right in front of me talking to Polaris, apparently there is a problem with the Tie-rods. Here's what i was told: "You cannot take delivery of your RZR (mind you it was on my trailer strapped down) Polaris just called and is doing a major recall due to a possible faulty Tie-rod!" He also stated that all RZR's that were delivered are to recieved a phone call IMMEDIATLY telling the owners to stop riding them! I'm kinda twisted on this i'm not sure if i'm happy about it or sad but i guess above all else i'm thankfull they were so prompt on doing a recall since i drive like a maniac anyhow. Plus Polaris is Overnighting new Tie-Rods to all dealers, and They are to deliver mine to me at no cost, which is nice since i live over an hour away from the closest dealer.
But i did drive it in the parking lot of the dealer LOL and it's got some juice to it LOL :) I scared the mechanic who was with me :O LOL
Just thought i'd let ya'll know

This sounds like a good thing Eric, congrats on the new RZR, you lucky dog you[:D]

I really wish I could justify one, I'd be in line right now. What a great ride these things are.
Sounds like they are all over it on this one and will have the faulty parts fixed right away. I'm glad they are jumping right on it! Good job Polaris...we appreciate the immediate response on this problem before anyone got hurt.
Like i said i'm glad they are fixing it but Like my wife said i look like a little kid whose toy got taken away LOL i mean come on what a tease the thing was on my trailer LOL
Take one down and pass it around.......
Sounds like they will have this issue addressed promptly, good job Polaris
Better to lean on the side of caution than to send them to the field and do what so MFG's do "lets wait and see what happens". Polaris is wise jumping on a issue they feel may cause a problem. Production of any any new unit can be expected to get a lot of attention off the line to assure their won't be major problems down the road. Good Job Polaris!

Coming from Suzuki sport quads I can tell you that Suzuki would never do this. The would deny there is a problem until it got too bad for them to ignore.

Way to go Polaris.

To bad they didnt handle the smoked belt issue with the same level of interest and fix the motor mounts.
I would have cried like a baby, and camped out at the dealership. Hope you get it before the weekend is over but if not, at least it should be right. Good luck, enjoy, and be careful.

The motor mounts have been changed and I would call this learning their lesson. You don't encourage someone when they do something good by reminding them of something they did bad.
I guess the belt issue is not a life threatning situation like the steering of the vehicle which could seriously injure or maim some unsuspecting drivers.definately more serious than a motor mount..
How long to get the part and fix it................
I was told the parts were being overnighted to all dealers, so that was on friday then parts go out monday, arrive on tuesday dealer said as soon as the parts got there he would put em on and deliver my rzr to my house, so by Tuesday afternoon i should see it.
Cool I, getting the number two of the first two to be shipped just seeimg If I it was going to be delayed, sound like they still be here on time.
Anyone know which day the last RZR's shipped before they were stopped? Mine was supposed to ship 5/10, and I hope it wasn't stopped and that I get the new parts via FedEx. Sold the Rhino the other day, and was banking on the RZR being here for next weekend![:(]
