This actually happened this weekend.

We took our camper and Ranger on it first voyage and went to the IXCR race just outside Bedford Indiana. On Saturday it rained and turned everything to mud and trucks were stuck all over the place. I hate mud on my ranger but we took it for a drive and ran up on a F150 that was stuck and another F150 was trying to pull it out but couldn't. I was asked if I thought I could pull him out and I said I doubt it but I will try. The ranger not only pulled them both out but it drug one of them for about 2 hundred yards before the guy got it out of park. I was really amazed at what it did so after a few more beverages we got asked to pull another truck out. I thought OK so we headed over and saw what they had stuck!!!

This one was a joke and no way I could do it but I wanted to try any way. It was a big dually with a 24 foot enclosed trailer on it and it was stuck and sliding toward a motorhome. There was another crew ranger there with bald tires and I had him hook on to the side of the trailer and pull it away from the motorhome while I pulled on the truck from the front at a 60m degree angle to keep it away from the motorhome while still pulling. I found a spot in the mud where it was solid rock about 3 inch down and used enough strap to get to that place. I left about a foot of slack in the strap and told the driver to just lightly spin his tires on the truck and if we started moving do not stop. I hit the end of the strap and I heard the ranger pull down as I fed it throttle. With a large drunk crowd of hecklers and supporters watching , the ranger pulled that freaken rig right out and up the hill. I could not believe it and the entire crowd cheered with dis belief also. I ended up pulling two more trucks out before the night was over and although I hate mud, I had a blast doing it.

Now for the bad news, Sunday we got up and headed to watch my buddies son race and I noticed a little vibration, just about that time another guy pulled up beside me and asked me if I knew I had a bend left rear axle:( Looks like I will be making a purchase for 2 rear axles for it. I know there were several people videoing the pull on the dually and I hope someone can find it and post it.

Great story, but sorry to hear about the axles. Unfortunately, I've seen this happen on several newer machines. The axle shafts aren't nearly as robust as they used to be (thinking back to '09 and earlier models), and can get bent without impact.....just from the engine torque.

I was really impressed with the Roctanes in the mud and how they pulled. We will get it all washed and waxed tonight to make it look like new again. I am not a deep mud fan but it was impressive.

I snapped a rear axle pulling the second jeep out of a hole. Replaced them with Rhino's and scrambled a front differential next. Being the savior feels good but sometimes hurts the wallet!

Get you some ADRs from Superatv. Same exact axle as Rhino but half the price and only 2 months warranty. Use codes "RZRFORUM" and "returning customer" for a double discount. That will get you 2 Rhino rear axles for $102 each shipped!

I realize the truck and trailer wasn't stuck in deep mud but it was still pretty impressive!!lol We had a camp full of people asking what we had done to it in order to pull like that and I must give Dale some credit, I was able to drive smooth in low after he helped me fine tune the clutch last month.

Nice TAZMAN... I too had the pleasure of being heckled a bit on whether or not my 900 would pull an F-250 with an empty 20' trailer out of a ditch heading out of my deer camp this weekend. The driver of the stuck rig doubted I could assist but agreed it was better than waiting another hour for a tow truck to come to his rescue from town. Well after hitchin up and yanking him out like it was regular fare for the 900 the guy continued to be somewhat of an a-hole. I got a real chuckle when the tow truck driver arrived and charged the idiot $100.00 for the service call! Love my 900!

I had to spin a little bit to get through the mud to solid ground but once it got there, man did it pull and I was proud of what it did even though it may not have been a big deal. My wife got out and stood to the side because she was afraid I would blame her if something broke!!lol
