Sorry if this has already been asked, but has anybody from Texas registered their Rangers to drive on streets, I know there is the public land sticker, but I was wandering how to get one registered to go to the store. Any info will help

I tried and didn't have any luck in Liberty county. Someone had an older one tagged as a miniture car in Jasper county, but in 2005 they changed the rules again. Electric Golf carts are still legal, you just have to find somebody that will regirster it once then you are home free.

I spoke to the county tax office where my bay house is (Calhoun) and was told I could register it in that county, but have not done it yet so it's still yet to be proven. The county is very rural and as I understand it the local JP just wants a slow moving vechicle sign mounted and that's it. In the county where I live, it's never going to happen. Texas did pass a change to the regulations allowing "neighborhood" vehicles to be registerd, but by definiton they can not be capible of exceeding 25MPH and the regulations were intended to give owners of golf cart type rides a means of being legal when used off the main roads.
Botton line, it's county by county for a Ranger. I'm interested in any other feedback anyone might have as well.
