Any thoughts on painting the muffler heat shield with hi-temp stove paint? I would think since that paint works good on a wood stove it would surely hold up to the heat from a muffler wouldn't it?
Easy way to tell would be running the machine really hard and then checking the temp of the heat shield with a tempature gun. If it gets up to 500° just buy a stove paint that will handle above and beyond that temp.
