I know there has been alot of discussion about different tires and different tire sizes. I have a have 07 XP with a rubberdown 2in lift and two inch wheel spacers. I was wondering what everyone thought would be the ideal size? (considering speed loss and possible rubbing)I notice alot of people are running 28s. This tire seems to be really big although I really like the looks.

I am running 28" swamplites and love them. They do rub a little on the bolts that go through the back side of the fender when I turn and hit a bump. They also stole some power, but I am going to change the clutch spring and hopefully gain some power back. You will love the clearance you have with the 2" lift and 28's. One more thing you might have to do depending on the width of tire you get is put wheel spacers on. I bought some for the front of mine and the front tires stuck out about 2" further than the rear so I put the spacers on the back and stacked 4 washers behind the front wheels and that is working good as well as looks alot better than having the front wider than the back.

Welcome to PRC. I have 28's and like them, but I am not sure which would be a better compromise, 28's or 27's. The 27's would help out a little more on the low end, the 28's give you a little more clearance.

Any of you guys running 27's or 28 with stock rims, and if so can you do it with just a 2 " lift an no spacers?

I had to get a new set of wheels for my 27's to clear. The would've just barely rubbed on the stock ones....but they WOULD have rubbed. I think it's going to depend on which wheels you have and what width tire that you put on them. Seems like I've read a few folks running 27's and 28's on stock rims though. New wheels aren't much more than a set of spacers, so I couldn't justify spending the money on spacers.

I run 28"x10(frt),12(rear)x12 mud light XL's w/2" lift and 1" spacers(front) 1 1/2" (rear). I have ran them on the stock wheels, and the ITP delta steel. They do suck up a little power, but not enough to make me go back to stock.

I have 9" wide tires on the front. On stock aluminum rims.
I have about 1" clearance between tire and strut. NO LIFT...
(And these tires have pretty good side wall grips)

No problems.[:D]

I pretty sure MORGANWOODY runs the same.
He gave me the idea. Then I tried it, and works great.
