Is anybody 'sold' on these motors or somewhat devoted enough to coaxing a little more from them? I've not heard much bad about them; yet not anything 'great' either beyond how well they seem to push the Rzr around.(ie; no stories like this with the sled engine http://www.snowtechmagazine.com/articles/2004/allsprtcrank.php ).

Interesting to me also that the CanAm version of the 800 twin is supposedly 'hotter'; yet one wonders by how much and at what price rpm-wise.

Another question...is this what you now use to tweak these things in when you go to EFI?

...and where are the folks who already had an aftermarket cdi box set up for the 800's? (can't find them anymore).

Dale @ Bikeman Performance has probably done more performance stuff to this engine than anyone.

WOW!

I just called Power Commander and they aren't even showing that they are working on a CDI/EFI controller for the RZR yet. That doesn't mean they aren't but we'll see. I'm just wondering if the 800 twin Power Commander will work on the RZR? I'm sure there would be some differences in the mounting but I'm not so sure about the electrical hookups.

I think the 800 sp will work it just plugs into the fuel injector plug. On my XP im using a sp 700 power commander it give more adjustment for rpm up 6500 vs power commander for an XP and it works fine.
