Just a thought, has anybody ever seen a utility bed on a ranger? Just down sized from a truck utility bed. The kind with side cabinets. Think it would be cool, I'd think someone that was a good fab guy could make something like this.

They are altered all the time for ems, fire dept., etc.. There's a company close to me selling take off beds all the time.

I'd like to and have considered building a flatbed/utility bed for mine.. I'm not the worlds best fabricator, and getting parts and supplies here wouldn't be as easy as running down to the local tractor supply if I would forget something. Especially building the cabnets I'm not sure what I would use for hinges and door latches?

My ranger is going into it's 5th year here this fall, if I decide to keep it, I might build something for it this winter.

Limo, Thanks but I've seen that before, very nice but I looking for one with cabinets on the sides. I know you could do that with metal boxs mounted but more like truck utility bed, just smaller.

mounting boxes below the bed would be tough, not much clearance, but maybe above it?

I remember that thread, very cool set ups. Did a google search and saw all kinds of beds but not what I was thinking of. All it did is made me want to spend more $$$$ that I don't have now.
