Hey guys and gals,
we are looking for someplace for vacation where we can take the Ranger and a quad, camp, fish and possibly swim. We don't want to drive days to get there maybe 3 or 4 hours. Do any of you have suggestions on any place public or private. If I had to join a club or even just something simple. I want to be able to fish while my wife and Daughter ride or before they get up and Ride when I am not fishing... Is there any place?????
I wonder if the Kentucky Lake area might work for you, they have some riding areas in the "land between the lakes" (LBL). It would be listed under the Tennesse Valley Authority--I think. I'll see what I can dig up and will post...
thanks Trent,
I have been on the link and lbl looks very interesting all but the 5 hour drive. LBL also looks like we could find plenty of things to do if we didn't take Ranger and Quad too. But it definately has my attention..

Mark,
Bruce went to some Island (I think near OBX) and took his Ranger, That would be a great vacation, riding a Ranger on the beach and ocean fishing.

Allan, my only problem would be the drive to an Ocean. I am stuck in Indiana and don't want to drive over 3 or 4 hours pulling the load. If gas was cheaper it might not be such a big deal..
Mark,
Angola has tons of lakes and some of the best Crappie fishing I've ever experienced. Coldwater (I think it was coldwater, it all starts to run together, but it was south central MI) just to the north has sand dunes that I rode on horse back years ago, seems to me a ranger shouldn't be a problem. You might want to look for a local campground that would take rangers.
We're going to be in the LBL area for a rifle team reunion in mid-June, thinking about taking the ranger a day or two early and checking out the trails. I've been to turkey bay about 15 years ago in a truck but haven't been back since. Will give an update if do take the Ranger.
