Can anyone tell me how to access the fuse box under the hood.

If you have a xp 900 the fuse box is under the front seat in the center.

This is correct. The fuse box is in the center compartment, under the seat.
If your wondering why, the same generic plastic panels fit various Ranger versions ( Military, Brutus, etc)
Kind of a one size fits all, but it is not used on the standard version Rangers.
