I'm looking for a trailer hit to use to tow a small single axle trailer. My 900 is stock. I tried using my drop hitch from my pickup. No dice. Trailer is to low and jack digs into the ground. I don't plan on going thru the woods , just around fields. I'm not looking to haul heavy weight. Just some ladder stands and feeders on my hunting grounds.
I looked at flipping a 4" drop hitch over but it doesn't seem to be level the hitch tips forward and it wouldn't sit on the ball level and would cause a pinch on the trailer hitch. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance

I use the same style hitch on the rear receiver and don't have any troubles but my single axle trailer has a folding jack stand so it is level with the trailer frame when in the hauling position.

I also see you have tired and a lift. This is the same trailer I tow my ranger on. I'm thinking you are gaining 4-6" with your tires and lift. I found a straight hitch that has a tow hook on the bottom side. Would leave it in receiver on ranger so I wouldn't have to pull it out from my truck everytime I needed it

Yeah i I tow mine on this one which is a 6x10 and I also have 16'. I don't think I gained quite that much with the lift and tires. maybe 4"--- maybe. The lift did get me a close to 3" and maybe a little more on the tires. I leave a receiver in my ranger and it does have a drop but only about 2". You said in your first post you looked at flipping a 4" receiver. Looks like you need to find one that matches up between your machine height and trailer. Flip it whichever direction gets you where you want to be in height so your jack doesn't drag. Or do like I did and put a jack on the side frame of the trailer tongue. It bolts on around the frame and swings up flush with trailer frame so no dragging issues.

I flipped over a 2" drop (2" rise). I also slid it in all the way until it almost hits the rear end housing, marked the holes where the receiver pin goes, then drilled new holes. That way I can leave it in tight all the time (new holes) or move it out (original holes) when I need towing clearance.

I use a standard straight receiver flipped to pull my trailers. 16' tandem axle utility and a 10' Jayco popup. No problems. Just like this one..

I got this off Amazon, it's a 2" ball. I like being able to hook my chain and strap hooks on it.

I just use a standard 2" drop turned over. I have a 2.5 inch lift and 28" tires so my trailers actually sit pretty level.

look at Adam800 boat trailer pic. That's the same folding jack I have on my 10' trailer. It folds up out of the way so no digging into the ground like you mention.
