what wheel and tire combos work?

I thought it would be a good idea to start a post on what aftermarket tire and wheel combos fit, and how much if any rubbing is found. Please post up what you have, and if there is any rubbing, and where it is rubbing. I thought I read somewhere that a guy tried a set of SS106 wheels, and terracross tires, and they wouldnt work without spacers.

Good idea, Grant. I'd like to know that as well.

Well, many of you know this already, but I'll start with mine....ITP type 7's with 28" Bighorns and a 2" Prolift. I think they would rub without the lift but you could probably "baby" it through the woods if you didn't drive like me.[:D]

Jerry,

A 2" ProLift for the RZR? I must have missed something....did Bill (NetHawk) already design a lift for the new unit?
It would be nice if the members who have aftermarket tires and wheels would post a picture on here along with the details so everyone can see the goods.

These are 14" ITP SS108 wheels and 26" Bighorns. The right rear rubbed on the motor mount. 1.5" spacers took care of that problem.
An update on rubbing. My dealer told me the right rear rubbed on the motor mount and added the spacers. I was curious today and removed the spacers. They do not rub without the spacers! And you lose the extra 3" of width.

Striperman your nerf bars or on the wrong side. They are supposed to taper up in the back, not down. Wheels look good, what is the width of the machine now?

Stiperman, thats one fine looking ride you've got there and the photo with a description of your goodies is GREAT!

Front tires rub the corner of the floorpan under full compression and full lock, right rear rubs exhaust heat shield under full compression.

Please spend a moment with a tape measure and post the new overall width...for those of us who feel this is important.
i was thinking those nerf bars were on backwards
Just a note for you guys to consider when dealing with wheels, and that is correct offste, especially in front....Most sxs owners don't see this as an issue, because trailing around at low speeds, it isn't, but with the rzr, handling will be a major factor since the speed is much greater....
Incorrect offset will screw up the scrub radius, which is a line drawn between the upper and lower balljoint centers on the front....This line should intersect the ground at just about center of the contact patch of the tire...Adding wheels with not enough offset puts the line outside the patch and using wheels with too much puts it inside the patch...Wheel spacers will also cause the scrub to fall inside the center line of the tire....
Like I said, for slow trailing, and riding on the sand, it doesn't make much difference, but for highspeed riding on dirt, and especially on hard pack, throwing the scrub out will make the steering very unpredictable and twitchy, and could also give more feedback than one might desire....
Just food for thought, and still waiting on mine...Hopefully within the next week....

<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">As a matter of fact the nerf bars were built backwards. You can only install them one way as the front and rear brackets are different. The fabricator welded the brackets opposite of how they should have been. The dealer ordered another pair.
I'd like to know if there's a 26" wheel/tire combo that will work without spacers. I like the narrow footprint of the stock set-up, but would like a nicer looking wheel and some tires with more bite.
I am going to suggest everyone who posts pics takes a head on view front and rear to give an idea of how much the tires stick out of the body.

Matt,

What wheels do you suggest for 26" BigHorns without spacers? Or will I have to go with spacers?

Yes, probably. But I might go with 14s too. I like the 12s on my standard Ranger, but was thinking to maybe try 14s on the RZR? I'm definitely up for suggestions. Thanks Matt.
Randy,

What do you think about going with the same wheels that you've got on your Ranger? The ITP C-series already has somewhat of an offset and no need for spacers. I don't think the factory offset on these wheels would make you all that much wider. I know one of the things I really like is the fact the sidewall sticks out farther than the wheels which keeps them from getting the crap scratched out of them. Just some thoughts. Looking forward to seeing pics.
