As I mentioned when I had to nag at Polaris for a two month period to get paint I was transitioning from inside tasks to outside due to following the cooler weather conditions. I did finally get the paint two weeks ago. The higher temps will soon kill my outdoor enthusiasm and the cool basement will feel great. I also have an Oliver tractor to split into to repair the transmission for Tam's Mother right beside the Ranger, I felt fortunate it has adjustable width wheels (spin outs) and was able to fit a fifty horse tractor through double doors.

Today I am taking the Bobcat to my Brother-in laws to excavate an area to build an entertainment area. This couple has done well and the price he has just for the pavers is 40K so this will be elaborate. He is taking me out for breakfast this morning so I think I will know if I am just the excavator or if he wishes for me to help him on the entire project.

If I am just moving earth I will not have more than 40 hours there off and on and should be back on the Ranger late next week.

One nice thing about being un-employed is that I have been able to help a lot of folks, there is no money involved but it feels good.

Neal, do you ever wonder how we had time to work!!!! Some days, I can't get it all done and that is without going to work!! Trigette laughs and says "but you're taking care of Emily and me both now and that is a full time job"!!! If I can ever get my mind back to semi normal, I will enjoy it more!

I am busier now that I'm retired than I was when I worked. A lot less mental stress though!

I know you are busy Neal, but I thought I would poke you with a stick anyway! Your work and documentation of this build has really brought this project into the Polaris radar and we got a lot of membership interest from their facebook page. Besides, I'm dying to see the finished project!!!

Yea, I sure do Bruce. As I mentioned above I feel gifted to be able to help others and have enjoyed doing so.

Yea, I know Boss. I have been expecting a prod . I'll tell ya, the lack of paint was really pissing me off because it will make the difference between nice and awesome. After three different Popo engineers they ended up connecting me with their supplier who sent me a free quart of color, clear coat, and the catalyst's in exchanged for a plug.

One thing you may not realize is that private correspondence pertaining to the project has remained very active. I never realized how many members prefer to ask their questions in private. I guess they fear flamers ????

Oh, and thanks for the compliment. I think I have it down now.

It comes as NO surprise to me that both of you - Neal and Bruce - are finding your unemployed status a welcome one in many ways. Both of you (in your own unique ways) possess numerous skills and no lack of devotion to your respective families such that time spent 'on your own' is time well spent. As a guy who's closing in on 10 years of relative retirement, I can totally relate to how you're feeling. Not only do I LOVE my lifestyle, but my only complaint is that there are simply not enough hours in a day to do all the things I wish to accomplish. Its VERY common for me to end my day by going over my to-do list and passing chores along to the following days. No clock to punch, no employees' noses to wipe, no fires to put out (well, once in a while at one or more of the rentals), and I pretty much don the same dirty jeans from the day before. Not a great income (although still way above the average household), but we are also unafraid of what the future might hold, because I have all the confidence in the world that Sue and I know full well how to pull our own weight.....and then some  . Its a wonderful life!

Thanks Randy! I feel a lot less pressure and there is virtually no stress on me now. Trigette says I am nicer too!! I will admit, some days the ride home was not long enough for me to get it all out of my system and I ended up taking some things out on them. I did not realize how much stress, both mental and physical, I was enduring by working 12 to 15 hours some days. I guess you just have to be out of it for a while and look back in to see it. This has killed us in terms of living in relative comfort to one in which we will have to be careful. With both my girls wanting me to stay retired though, we can make the sacrifice. I may get a small job sometime but for now, I am honoring their requests to stay retired!! I was talking with my tax lady yesterday and she told me of one of the supervisors I knew, one who was well liked and not an ass, dropped dead about a month ago while out trimming limbs with a friend. You just never know and should I drop dead tomorrow, I can truly say I have lived an enjoyable life and tried my best to give my all to my girls. I have no greater ambition in life than to be a good husband and a great Dad.

Bruce, I'm confident that anyone who knows you the way Neal, Gary and I do would agree with me when I say that you have met and exceeded that noble deed.. :)
