I will put Thermostat bypass heater adapter on my xp 900 , but bad plastic fitting , make lost prestone and temp. get hot !!!! at 235 deg. the motor was in protection and at 250 /255 deg. it will stop , first I was thinking it was the thermostat did`nt want to open , it make that 2 times , do you think it will dammage the motor ? now it go well

If it doesn't start leaking coolant from the weap hole in the water pump, you "should" be okay. That's what limp mode and the auto shutoff are intended to do....protect the engine in such an event.

A friend just went through overheating issues on her RZR and it shut down several times before we could get her out of the woods. The trails were too rough to tow her the entire way out, so she had to drive it in several of the worst sections. I don't think she ever hit 250*, but she hit 230 to 235 several times with no permanent damage. The culprit wound up being a defective self-resetting breaker. Polaris wanted $50 for one, but we found a match at an auto parts store for about $10.
