If done properly, it will NOT come off easy. Because of that, personally I would use the factory seals and make sure they are installed correctly. But if that isn't working for you, I'd use Permatex red.

Its a well known fact that the 570 airbox doesn't seal properly, i had mine replaced under warranty because of that issue, of course Polaris said mine was the first they heard of it. Even with the new box it still gets dust in it, i have seen different solutions, some people just silicone it shut and deal with it when they need to, i put an extra seal on the lid portion, so 2 seals, plus some silicone under the seal on the lid, it helped but wasn't perfect. I just clean my air filter after every ride pretty much

I think they designed the air box to leak. I ended up removing the whole box from the unit, removed all the plugs and sealed everything with black rtv silicone. You can buy it at any auto parts store. For the air box lid I used butyl rope. I removed the factory seal, and put one layer on the box then one in the lid. When you put them together it smashes together and seals. It is easily removed the replace the air air. The air box is sealed so good now, when I put my hand over the snorkel it dies very quick. I have also smoke tested the system and found no leaks. As for the cv system, when I smoke tested it, I found no leaks. And that was sealed from the factory.

Why wouldn't your airbox have dust in it regardless? They draw in dust through their air inlet all the time. Can't say I've ever seen a CVT box that leaked. but my machine doesn't spend any period of time submerged either., mostly just quick crossings.

my air box leaks where the intake rubber tube attatches to the box, also the squeeze drain in the bottom, and the 1in round plug also leaks, the lid is a joke on these things
