Good to know. My unmentioned other motive for wanting to know is that I have seen where a number of people think dealers will keep them for personal use (including the dealer I am buying from, who initially was going to let me put a deposit down on both of his units, but has since decided to keep the second one for himself). I also heard of at least 4 vendors who I spoke to in the Indy show in Feb saying they were buying one of the initial run for product development, and that was out of 4 I asked about it with, so I assume the actual number to be much higher. I was originally going to purchase both of the ones my dealer was getting before he wanted to keep one, so I could loan one to manufacturers for product development (not to ride, only to develop skids, exhausts, etc. so that they would get to market more quickly, therefore giving us something to sell to owners wanting to individualize there unit). I was then going to just sell it locally after the 6-12 months it would likely be making the rounds for this development. I would just hate to see all the first units (or 90% of them) go to dealers for product R&D (and not enjoyment like mine will be for, or to dealership owners/employees leaving the large number of interested buyers waiting for more months. Your input does assuage those fears considerably. I am excited to see reports of the first ones being delivered, and also to see what Kawasaki/Suzuki/Yamaha, and maybe HONDA?! will bring to market to respond to the challenge.
