So I'm in the market for a half windshield for my 900XP, and I'm up in the air on which one to get. I was originally going to get the EMP, with discount I can get it for $150 shipped. But buddy just showed me SuperATV has a hardcoat for $159 with free shipping. I also only live 20 min from their shop, so I could go pick one up as well. My question is has anyone got the SuperATV half windshield yet? Like it? I'm 6'1 and it looks to be taller is biggest reason I'm leaning that way, but unsure if the mounting bracket works well. I might drive over and look at it before I purchase if no one can say they have tried one. Thanks!

I have a lock n ride Polaris one that came off my 13 I want to sell. Not a scratch on it, have all the mounting stuff. I just upgraded to glass full windshield. Make me an offer if interested including shipping, which I have no idea is gonna cost.

Read on this site and you will find nothing but negative reviews about aftermarket 1/2 windshields being cheap and flimsy. I say go with Lock n Ride only...or check out Arrow's used one! Just my humble opinion...

O.Z. I have the EMP half but no longer use it since I eventually went with the L & R tip-out poly. The EMP is 3/16 thick and bows inward when riding, it can even vibrate somewhat while driving from the wind buffeting. Very disappointing in my opinion for what you pay for it. I ended up buying a piece of aluminum flat stock from Home Depot. I believe the stock was .25 inch thick by .5 inch wide by 4 feet long. I bent it in an arc over my knee to match the windshield while parked and then bolted it thru. Worked pretty good at keeping it rigid while riding. The good thing about the EMP is you can raise it somewhat up the pillars to allow air underneath and block more from your face while riding. Air underneath helps keep dust billowing lower. Don't have any info on the SATV one. I have read on here that the L & R doesn't bow in but I don't think you can raise it.

I appreciate all the responses, and I understand the dirt issues. But, main reason I want a half is to keep wind and bugs out of my face while riding on the road. Like to enjoy the weather, so don't want to be behind a full w.s. during summer. Would love a full cab for winter, but can't afford it anytime soon.

Think I'm going to give the S.ATV a go, I'll post my review once I get it in.

I have the SATV half windshield and am happy with it. Easy on and off. The top lip has a decent brake to it that keeps it from flopping in the wind and may help guide the wind upward. I'm 6' even and the wind now hits me about forehead. I also added a cheap rear pannel off eBay to help keep from pulling dust in.

The mounting seems fine, just a simple velcro strap. Have not seen any others to compare to.

Here are some pics, sorry about the reflections:

Thanks for the pictures, very helpful, satv does not do much on pics from site. Two questions, what side mirrors do you have, and what's the black piece in center of your hood?

The mirrors are Seizmik off Amazon and the black thing is a GoPro camera mount.

I have the Polaris Lock 'N Ride on my 2015 Crew. It sucks. Cheap and flimsy. Nothing like the half shield on my 2010 XP. I will be buying a full glass tip out. Don't waste your money like I did.
