I just bought a 2007 XP and have about 10 miles on the machine. From the beginning, as the engine warms up the idle speed creeps up from around 1000rpm to as high as 1700rpm depending on how warm it gets. As the idle speed increases, it becomes difficult to impossible to change gears. I cannot get it out of low and into reverse for example. If I shut the engine off, I can get it out of gear and into any gear I want.

Any ideas on whats wrong and what need to be done?

The dealer changed the idle speed sensor, but it didn't help.

Sounds like it has a vacuum leak somewhere in the intake manifold that increases with heat or the sensor is still bad, either way the dealer shouldn't have let it out the door if it wasn't fixed.
