I'm running 28in mudzilla's with no lift or spacer but they rub when turning full lock..im looking at 1.5 spacers and high lifter 3in lift kit.
Is that to much lift? I don't want to break my axles. I'm going to get their steering stops and probably the steering upgrade kit also.
any input would be great. thanks

Anytime you add tire size or lift you stress the axles a little bit more. How much is too much? Thats the couple thousand dollar question. We ride the rocks out here and I break axles with no lift and 26" Bighorns so if you're playing right it's bound to happen!

Got a 2012 800 XP with 2" lift and 30" zillas (not mudzilla).
I did have to replace the passenger side axle because my tie rod kept breaking and the tire making a sudden turn while riding. That.s what led to the axle breaking. The other 3 axles are fine but i will be replacing them with COBRA axles. Just to be on the safe side. I do mud but nothing crazy. I have my family with me.

ya I don't get crazy with mud either, just trail ride and dirt roads. I don't look for the biggest mud hole and try to make it threw it.

In my opinion more than 2" of lift you are stressing the CVs too much. Your always better off with forward a arms to clear big tires.

Scott that is a great question and with our 3" lift here at High Lifter we do recommend installing new rear axles with our lift kit due to the fact that the rear axles from 2011 and up haven't been know for their strength. With our lift installed you can still run your stock front axles. The steering stops would be a great assets for your Ranger as well. Now if you're wanting to run larger tires than a 28 I would for sure recommend our forward "a" arm kit.

Happy Riding,
