2017 ranger xp1000 crew 3k miles. Have to start 4-6 times to keep running. Starts great but will die after 3 seconds. Any throttle kills it. After 4-6 starts it will then idle and run great.
Not a cold climate 70 degrees as of now.
Where to start first, plugs? Always ran 91 octane.
Thanks in advance.

Well got hands on new fuel pump for next to nothing. Quick install and same thing. Starts quick then dies immediately. 44 psi both pumps. If I play it like a carb it will stay running. Then every start after it idle perfect 1300rpms.
Wouldn't low compression make it run sluggish and low power? It has neither. ?

Ok got a gauge that i tested with known pressure. Pump immediately goes to 59psi.
Crazy thing, i started it cold and idled perfect at 3500 then stopped to 2500 and held there with no movement on the pedal. Just like it should do.
I'm wondering if trailering it would cause air in line. But that's not gonna stop the pump from pushing through. Just thinking out loud.
Gonna let it set and try tomorrow and see what it does.

The correct idle for an XP1000 is 1200 +/- 100 rpm. If it's idling at 2500 something is wrong.
Sorry guys fat fingers and working nights, gotta check my posts. Starts at 1300rpms. After about 30 seconds settles down to 1200 steady.
So yeah i would say it starts correctly "as of now". So like i said i will let it set overnight and try in the am.
Appreciate the responses, and sorry for the confusion.
