Hey guys when going straight my steering wheel alignment is off. It sits at around 2 oclock. It still has warranty should I have them align it or just do it myself if it's not a pain the the a$$. It's a 2020 xp1000.
Side note got my first minor damage yesterday. Went to take my son for a ride backed out of shed and got a coil of electrical wire my dad decided to leave at my house wrapped in tire and gouge into bottom portion of my tailgate. Man I was pissed. But I guess I have myself to blame

G,....have the stealership do it . You can really do some damage especially on a PS equipped unit.

Always good to get that first scrape out of the way... Now you can relax and drive it.

Well, it had to happen sooner or later. Now you got the first scuff out of the way. The second one wont hurt so bad.

Measure the threads on the tie rod ends. If they are very close to the same and goesstraightwhen you let go of the wheel, the steering wheel can just be moved over one tooth on the spline.

JM beat me to it.
Never beat on the steering shaft to remove the steering wheel

Back the nut off and leave a couple threads holding it on. Put your weight on the wheel and rock it side to side up and down. Should break free being its new.

Could be good...... It s fairly new so it may come off without dynamite. Like RJ said, do not loosen the nut and then beat on it like a ironworker. That is what real ironworkers call a hammer..... "where's my beater ?! !~! "

My '20 XP1000 is also clocked at about 2 o'clock.
I will check my tie rod threads and see where I'm at.
I also have clacking under the front. All appears to be tight so could I have the mysterious clattering front diff? Hmmm...
My vehicle is ready for its first service...
Got a 'punch list' going.

Clack, chatter clanking. Hard to determine on the net. Next time you hear it happening, ride the brakes a little and see if it stops. Loose pads make some funny noises and is common.

My 2019 900XP is the same (about 1:30 - 2:00). I've tried to pull it myself and it won't budge, I'm a little nervous about trying heat on it with all the plastic around. I'd rather live with it than take it in and leave it for the dealer to fix. It's disappointing that it happens so often!

I just Purchased a 2020 Ranger XP 1000. I had the same 2:00 Issue on my steering wheel. I pulled it off and straightened it up. When I tightened it down I noticed my steering was hard to turn. I backed off the nut and pulled up on the steering wheel and it was back to normal. I re tightened the nut and had the same issue. When I tighten the nut just enough to take the play out off the wheel it starts dragging. Any advice?

I have a 2020 and my steering wheel was also at 2. Took mine to the front end alignment shop and he aligned the front end and the steering wheel is straight. Runs straight as a string .He did say the front end was out some but not terrible bad. $50 for everything. Crooked steering wheel drives me nutts !! LOL
